Hi All,
A reminder that our community clean up day that was scheduled at the all homeowner meeting last November is coming up in a little over a week, on April 26th. This is a great day to come out and help clean up our community and do some needed projects to help keep our common areas looking good and working well.
We will be doing woodchipping this year, but the instructions are slightly different this year. If you have tree branches or wood debris to chip from spring cleanup projects, we're asking that you put it out in front of your place starting this weekend. Material must be clean of trash, Christmas lights, nails, etc. Woodchipping will likely be handled on Sunday, or during a time when there are less people out and about, so there are opportunities to come out and help on Sunday as well. Please fill out a Firewise worksheet for any wood/bush/debris removal.
Below is a partial list of projects you could expect to help with on cleanup day:
Limb up the cottonwoods along the ditch in the lower field to a minimum of 6' off the ground.
Clean leaves and debris out of ditches in lower field.
Cut all of the sucker's off of the elms by the mailboxes down to the original stumps.
Pull all dead and downed material out of area between pond and the ditchline down to the road for the chipper.
Cut out all of the little cottonwoods along edge of grass above pond.
Pull all downed material from bottom corner by Meeney's up to the road for the chipper.
Check all hardware, sand rough spots and stain/seal playground equipment.
Refurbish the old swings. I have materials list and swings/chains. Need 4x6 and bolts.
Fill holes left from removal of split rail fence around the park. We will have dirt from cleaning the ditches out next to the roads by the contractor.
